There was blood on my pillow and when I woke up the right side of my mouth was swollen and swore. I rushed to the bathroom and rinsed the dried blood from my mouth. It came out in thick clumps at first, and then ran quickly as the crimson liquid. I pulled my cheeks wide and saw that three teeth were missing.
I ran back to my room, my jaw aching and throbbing with the intensity of a fire alarm. I lifted the blood stained pillow and saw three dollar bills lying there. They were crumpled and crimped but someone had tried their best to smooth them.
A stabbing pain rocked me back, down to my knees. I crawled and pulled myself up from the floor.
Grabbing the cash in my hand i shook my fist at the sky and swore to anyone that would listen that I would get that lousy thieving good for nothing tooth fairy if it was the last thing I did.
Hilarious. What does she need all those teeth for anyway?
Haha, you and DashP interpreted the prompt the same way: http://sixminutestory.com/stories/the-pillow.
You both took slightly different approaches to it. He did a build to a last-line reveal, while you did a drawn-out, "intense" reveal. Both were good, I think.
HIVE MIND!
I think this site is like a power juicer to the armadillo-skinned oranges of writer's block.
