I'm in love with a robot. Thing is, she doesn't even notice. She doesn't even have any feelings, whatsoever. Her positronic net doesn't have the capacity for joy, or anger, or love.

Naturally, this poses a problem.

How do I tell her about my feelings? She knows the dictionary definition of love. But she doesn't know the meaning. I have no idea how she would take it. Would she just acknowledge it, and then continue on with her work?

The worst part is, the fact that she has no emotions is part of the reason I love her. She can't get riled up over stupid things like I do. She's the blue oni to my red, in that respect.

I've reached a decision. I'm going to get out of my chair, walk out of my cubicle and down to hers, and ask her out. I'm going to do this. I get out of my chair. I'm going to do this. I walk out of my cubicle. I'm going to do this. I walk down to hers.

I'm going to do this.

She's sitting there in her recharging station, her metal fingers clanking on her keyboard. I coughed.

"TR-CI, will you go out with me?"

She turned her head, revealing the face of an angel.

"Yes, Alex."

"Hummingbird" James Vernon is a 16 year old A-Level student in England. He likes video games, tabletop games and making fun of things. In this way, he is much like the majority of the internet.

Unfortunately, like the majority of the internet, he isn't good at any of these either. However, he considers himself pretty good at writing.

And also at consistently using the third person. And also at thinking up terrible nicknames for himself.
And also at using the sentence beginning "And also."
