A lot of my favorite 6 minute stories are compelling succinct tales of murder (hopefully just because that genre works really well as a fast story?) , and this is even the most succinct. I think I read that John Lennon, talking about the simple cartoons he used to draw, said something about how the best artists he knew of were the ones with the ability to convey a clear image with a minimal number of lines. That's this story - least number of lines, but the whole thing is there.
Thanks, Kate. An economy of words is definitely not my strong suit in writing so you have no idea how glad I am that I managed to convey the whole story to you in list format. I have to give credit to littlefiction.com for the Listerature idea.
As for your favorite stories being tales of murder...suuuuuuure, it must be because that works really well as the zinger in a short story, whatever you say. ;)
