He was lucky when he found that nickel in the bushes, that'll show up again later. But it wasn't luck that brought him there. See, Marvin got mixed up with some bad people, and right now he is hiding in the bushes behind a gas station, on the run from the police for a robbery job gone wrong. "I have to get to Melinda," he plotted. "I need an Alibi." Luckily for him, she lived only a few blocks away, so he snuck through the alleys, always watching out for cops, but he wasn't lucky enough to find her at home. He should have known better. On a Friday night, a girl like her would never be at home. Luckily, he had a good memory, so he remembered her often mentioning some specific club lately, so he hopped into a nearby cab. At the club, he found out that she has been there, but took off with some guy like an hour ago, which truly were unfortunate news, but he also found out that guy's home address. He knocked on the door, and bashed the guys face in when he opened. Luckily for Marvin, he hit the right spot, because the blood gushing from that guy's nose not only kept him from fighting back, but also got him to quickly spill the beans on Melinda. Turns out she already left, which said a lot about this guy's unfortunately bad stamina, but Marvin had no money left for a taxi, so he once again snuck through the alleys to get to Melinda's house, where he saw that the lights in the living room were on, but where he also spotted a police car standing on the other side of the road. He got to a pay phone, that's where that nickel pays off, but Melinda didn't seem to be answering. So he decided to just risk it, and managed to get to the house. Mayb the cops were already inside, and that's why she didn't answer the phone. As he peaked through the window, he saw her, as usual, on her back, wildly fornicating with her next-door neighbor. But while infidelity is not a crime, unfortunately for Marvin, peeping is, very much, so out of nowhere, he found himself in a foot chase with a police men, which he unfortunately lost. He got taken to the station, where he begged for his one phone call, but since "This isn't some fuckin' movie, kid", a line uttered by an annoyed police officer, Melinda didn't pick up the phone, again. And, as unfortunate as it is for Marvin, she never will…
