Joey stood sucking on his wine gums. Lime was his favourite, tart and bitter; made him think of summertime grass and his turtle Matlin. Today was supposed to be a fun day; his Mum had brought him to the theme park. He 'love' it she had said. He wasn't so sure. So far he didn't like it but he was trying to pretend. Otherwise Mum would be sad again, and she'd been so sad lately. And angry. She was angry at Daddy because Daddy couldn't come to the theme park. Joey didn't mind though as Daddy had given him two big bags of wine gums, which were his favourite. He popped another one into his mouth; orange. He didn't like orange so much.
'Go on, Joey!' he heard his mother call.
With growing trepidation he made his way to the haunted house and stood and posed while his Mum took a photo. She was waiting for him to go in. He looked up at the sky; it was sunny and the rain had held off. Whisps of clouds fluttered by and he tried not to think of the dream he had last night. It was one of those knowings that he often had. He hated them. Especially when they came true. Today's would come true. He felt it. The theme park wouldn't be so much fun, not dreamlike at all.

It comes through wonderfully. Excellent work, I'd say. I like the element of prescience.
