I think I have died.

There was a strange man looking at me, clothed in black with blue eyes gleaming from behind a hood. I tried to peer into the darkness of that hood but could make out nothing save the eyes.

He explained to me that I had died, but not to panic. Death was not as bad as people would have me believe. Rather than the end it was a new beginning. He was here to point me in the right direction, then the journey was my own.

Journey? I knew nothing of a journey. I just guessed death resulted in nothing or a bright light (or heat), but a journey?

He explained to me that after the Earth life there were many options open to me, but I had to find the next place myself. There were great places, bad places. Earth clone places, and some places you just could not believe.

I asked what to do next.

I was transported to a hill top, the sun just setting in the distance. I was in my travelling gear and had a leather suitcase at my feet.

You are packed and ready to go. Pick a direction and walk.

I walked into the sunset, and never looked back.
