She stood on the crest of the largest sand dune, her hair streaming in the fierce breeze that had sprung up overnight. The view was stunning, overlooking dunes, common, sea, beach and surrounding cliffs, with the odd lighthouse visible on the distant coastline.
"I have had enough !" she screamed into the wind. "All the constant miserable bickering, the backbiting, the barbed comments, the selfishness, the grumbling under the breath and slamming of doors. I am not going to put up with it any more!" Having vented her anger and frustration, she walked slowly back home, wondering what she was going to say when she finally put the key in the door and re-entered her everyday life in the busy family home. The walk to the dunes had been an oasis of calm and a respite from the overwhelming stress which ahd threatened to engulf her completely that morning until she grabbed her hat and coat and left "for a breath of fresh air", as she had glibly announced.

She made her way home slowly, and opened the door to the warm house.
"Happy anniversary, darling !" she called up the stairs, and was greeted likewise. She went into the kitchen and made tea, and the day car
