There's somebody standing in the corner of my room. What is he doing there? How did he get in here?! This is something I'd see in a movie and just be scared for the person sleeping in their bed. Now that person is me, awakened by the feeling that someone is watching me. You know the feeling? The one where you can just 'tell' that someone, somewhere, is looking at you?
That is what woke me from my slumber, as it were. Sleeping soundly, like any other night, I awoke disturbed. Sitting up in bed I wondered what was going on - was it a forgotten nightmare? A disturbing thought? Nope. It was that feeling. Afraid to turn on the light, I looked around the room and there he was. What on earth was he doing there? It reminds me of something that I read in a book, and all I wanted to do was close my eyes and hope that it was a dream. One, two, three, four, five ... I don't think this is a dream. Or is it a dream within a dream?
Maybe if I keep my eyes closed and ignore him he'll go away ... one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten.
Always reading, never written. Well, other than in journals that I've been keeping since the 6th grade. Time for something different?
There's somebody standing in the corner of my room.
