Lazy summer days are so much fun. The sun shining down, fresh apples on the trees, dropping down, and soft grass to lie on. Just pure bliss.

I reach into the picnic hamper next to me, and pull out a banana. Peeling it, I look around. No one else is here yet. That just makes things even better. I stuff the banana into my mouth.

It tastes just as good as the day feels.

I hear a shriek behind me. Turning around, I see a pretty young lady, her features pushed out of shape into a look of fear. She was staring in my direction. I look around, trying to see what she was screaming at.

"David, come quick!" she yells. "There's an orang-utan eating our picnic!"

Oh, that's what she's screaming at. An orang-utan eating th- oh. Oh dear.

I pick myself up from the soft grass and run off, banana still in my mouth. A man comes along with a rolled-up newspaper, but there's nothing to smack. I hide behind a bush. Well, that was quite harrowing.

"Hummingbird" James Vernon is a 16 year old A-Level student in England. He likes video games, tabletop games and making fun of things. In this way, he is much like the majority of the internet.

Unfortunately, like the majority of the internet, he isn't good at any of these either. However, he considers himself pretty good at writing.

And also at consistently using the third person. And also at thinking up terrible nicknames for himself.
And also at using the sentence beginning "And also."
