"Hello Father," she said.
"Ah, my child, I apologize for being late. I was walking around this glorious park. Did you get a chance to see the green trees and all the life that is budding from them? It is truly beautiful here."
"Yes, quite."
"I like you new look. It fits you, of course I liked the way presented yourself before. However, the all black is bit much, my child."
"Always the judge. Am I right?"
He laughed to himself.
"How easily I forget your cunning humor."
A full set sit in front of them. And while she wore black, her pieces were white.
She moved the queen's pawn forward.
"I saw the woman you ran into."
"Yes, I felt terrible about knocking those things out of her hand. Quite clumsy of me."
"Of course you were concerned with her, and yet didn't mind being late."
"Luci, I apologized. It isn't often we get to see one another, especially here. I miss this place."
"You didn't have to leave, or make any of us leave."
"You knew why it had to happen. You knew the consequences."
She broke out into laughter.
"Consequences? And to say we knew about them is even more priceless."
He moved his king's pawn while she continued to laugh to herself.
"Father, you know the woman you ran into is a murderer, righ?"
