"This is your fault," his wife said to him. If you would just put your mother in her place I wouldn't have to and we wouldn't be fighting right now.
He replied loudly, "My fault? How is it my fault she's nosy? She doesn't mean anything by it anyway. You don't have to be such a bitch about every little thing."
"Oh. My. God. Seriously?" She was on a roll now. "It's your fault she's so nosy because you never say anything at all to her when she crosses a line. And once again, I wouldn't have to be such a bitch if I had married a man with a pair of balls. And this isn't a little thing. She called our child's doctor to ask whether I got him the flu shot. That's not a little thing."
"You are blowing this way out of proportion. She only did that because she's concerned about him. What's the problem?" He just couldn't understand why she was so mad.
"What's the problem? Are you kidding me? She was concerned that I was neglecting my child, so she second guesses and double checks every move I make. That's a huge problem. If this keeps going, I'll get a restraining order. I'm calling the doctor's office now to give them a piece of my mind. I don't want that woman sticking her nose in any of my business, including our son." She stormed off to make her cal.
